It has been an incredible week! I haven’t worked out this much since I was in my last PE class in 8th grade.
My goal for last week was to workout for at least 30 minutes a day. So what did my week look like?
- Monday: 60 minutes on Walk it Out for Wii
- Tuesday: 60 minutes on Walk it Out for Wii
- Wednesday: 60 minutes on Walk it Out for Wii
- Thursday: NOTHING! oops!
- Friday: 60 minutes on Walk it Out for Wii
- Saturday: 60 minutes on Walk it out for Wii
- Sunday: 45 minutes on Walk it out for Wii
That’s a total of 345 minutes for the week!
I’m pretty proud of myself! Woohoo!
I burned around 2700 calories this week just having fun with this totally awesome game!
For tracking my calories and water intake I started using the app and website MyFitnessPal. I’m really enjoying that a lot. Its taking some getting used to, as far as how much I can eat, but most days I came in way under in calorie intake just by logging everything.
My menu this week will be posted over at Polka Spot Farm if you are interested. I will most likely be tweaking it throughout the week so that I can reach my calorie intake goals.
This is a really cool thing that I found that was really interesting. I thought you may enjoy knowing what my heart is doing every day.

So what are my goals for this week?
- Concentrate on getting my 8-10 glasses of water (I got between 6 and 10 each day last week)
- Stay on track with my calories
- Keep up with at least 30 minutes of exercise a day.
- Add some type of strength training at least 2 days this week.
I want to thank the Sistahood for being so supportive over the last week. Y’all are fantabulous!

Good job on the workouts! Wiis are amazing for making working out seem like you’re playing (probably because you are). Good luck in this coming week!
Dude! you are a machine! I LOVE LOVE LOVE myfitnesspal for the iphone! So glad you are enjoying it as well! AND taking a day off of exercise is NOT a bad thing! it’s good to get your rest days in there too – It’s all about balance!!!
When I first set up myfitnesspal, it was basing daily calories on a sedentary lifestyle – which is what I USED to have… when I changed it to an Active lifestyle, it’s much closer to being on target. It’s hard still for me though because most days I pack up everything in the morning (or night before) for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks… I never know how many calories I’m going to burn so there are still times I come in under. Just remember – if you aren’t eating enough calories, you aren’t giving your body enough fuel… it’s like trying to drive the car on empty!
Great job this week! Can’t wait to see how you do next week!
Welcome to Mamavation! Looking forward to reading more of your posts! Awesome job on your workouts. Dont sweat missing one day of activity, your body needs a day of rest! Keep up the hard work!
Christi, I am so glad to see you having fun with the WIO game. I appreciate your motivation to get me going again! ~ Heather
Welcome! Make sure you eat enough, especially with all of that exercise! And you are allowed to take a day off. You blew your goal out of the water, girl!!
It’s great that you’ve found something that you have fun doing for exercise! Awesome!
Look forward to getting to know you better!
I love your other blog too where you have your menu posted. Good luck meeting your goals this week and thanks for adding that piece on what your heart will do. Those kind of reminders are cool.
Wow what an active week you had! Way to go, that’s fantastic
I like myfitnesspal too. I’ve been pretty slack as of late with it but it was definitely an eye opener as to where my calories were going. I definitely had to make some adjustments after tracking for a few weeks.
I love working out on the Wii! I have never tried that game, but am looking forward to trying it! Welcome to Mamavation!
I was just thinking earlier, that I wanted to get to know you a little more. I keep seeing you on twitter, but I’ve been so busy that I’ve totally skipped interacting with you! I’m sorry! I’ll be a better support!!
I totally love the name of your blog. Very creative and VERY true!
You kicked some tail this week working out! YOU GO!!
Have a fab week, love!
Lisa
Welcome! I am going to be taking a look at the myfitnesspal after I get caught up reading posts. i am looking for a way to log calories. I use hlog on my iPhone, it’s ok but I always look for the new and improved apps. Sounds like you had a blast with your wii this week! Keep up the hard work!
Awesome activity last week! almost 350 minutes!! CRAZY!!
I have heard of my fitness pal but never used. This may have to be something I investigate – soon.
Have a great week
wow great job! And welcome to mamavation! KNow we are all here to help you with your goals!!!
Your Wii workouts are making me want to try that ‘game’! We have a Wii but right now it is just a glorified {AND EXPENSIVE} Netflix player! haha….It doesnt help that our living room is layed out weird either… but I could make excuses all day!
Hope you meet your goals this week! I wouldnt be too tough on yourself for missing 1 day/week on the workouts… sometimes you need a break… or really just get too busy!
Good lucky hun!
@SeeLauraRun
I absolutely love using the Wii to lose weight…I had lost just over 50lbs mostly by using the Wii (of course now I have gained back a bunch being preggo and not working out). I will have to check out that game you are using, I have never heard of it.
Awesome job with all the workouts…that s quite some time you accumulated!
WOW! Your a cardio animal!! I will ahve to look into this walk it out program and, the fitness pal!! Congrats on all your movement and, welcome to mamavation! Good luck this week!
Don’t beat yourself up too much over missing a day. Your body needs rest days, so one day/week of no intense exercise is totally acceptable! Great job on busting that goal of cardio minutes! Fantabulous!
You were a busy woman last week, that is amazing. Keep up the great work!
I love the Walk it Out game! Great job on the workouts!!
